Organizational Design

The Situation

Stack’d was engaged by a non-profit, charitable organization to rethink their organizational structure. The charity was facing tough economic conditions, shifting socioeconomic norms, and for-profit competition. They needed to redesign their structure to better align with their strategic direction, enhance the donor experience and engagement, and drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Our Approach

By working closely with senior leaders to hold a series of interviews and workshops, the Stack’d team:
  1. Validated the existing strategy and identified key functional capabilities required to support long-term development, relevance, and growth.
  2. Supported senior leaders in evaluating alternative organizational designs and selected a preferred model.
  3. Developed the final to-be structure and a transition material that identified a clear path forward to create an organization built around the donor experience and digital engagement tools.

Value Received

This organization is currently in the process of implementing the new structure and rethinking the people, processes, technology, and rewards required to make this structure a reality.
