Organizational Governance
The Situation
Stack’d was engaged by a health care provider to support the separation of their Acute and Residential Care operations into two organizations in pursuit of developing a world-class patient care model. In addition to developing a focused patient care model, the separation of these organizations provided an opportunity for greater alignment with provincial health authorities and support for growth opportunities in the future.
Our Approach
To help the organization achieve their goal of creating a world-class patient care model, the Stack’d team:
- Engaged the Executive team and new organization’s Board of Directors to develop a strategic direction and target operating and governance model for the new organization.
- Developed a foundational organizational structure to help ensure that the organization was prepared to operate as a separate entity.
- Co-created a master program and set of integration work plans with leadership to direct the transition to two separate organizations, including the clear definition of major operating processes by work function and required transition activities.
Value Received
The organization is in the process of developing new Residential Care campuses and facilities, which will put the new strategies, operating model, and organizational structure into operation to enhance patient care and outreach.
