If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team as a Senior Associate.

The Position

A Senior Associate is a critical role in our business who shapes, contributes to, and leads the execution of client projects and workstreams, design and execute facilitated experiences, provide high value to our clients, and help build the team and brand. Day-to-day, you will lead and enable project execution and delivery by:

  • Leading client projects and/or specific workstreams of client projects;
  • Developing project approaches and work plans and aligning consulting teams to execute against them;
  • Developing solutions and recommendations;
  • Designing and facilitating client meetings and workshops;
  • Defining and leading the development of client deliverables;
  • Building and managing client relationships;
  • Ensuring project risk management and profitability by effectively managing projects to scope, schedule, and budget; and,
  • Support and enable associates to learn the craft of project execution and management consulting.

In addition, you will have opportunities to participate in and lead internal projects to improve how we work as we seek efficiencies and growth opportunities as a firm. As a Senior Associate, you will have the opportunities to grown and develop all aspects of the consulting craft including business development, client and account management, project management and team development and mentorship.

A note to potential candidates: This is a hybrid role. The Stack’d Calgary team is expected to work in office / at client site on average three (3) days per week out of the Calgary location.

Core Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or other comparable fields.
  • Three to five years of management consulting work experience. (Big Four experience desired)
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada and the United States.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Calgary, Alberta.

A master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Commerce, Business Sciences or other comparable fields is also desirable but not required.

  • Project Management – You understand the basics of project management and know how to manage an entire project or aspects of a project to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Information Analysis – You enjoy getting into complicated and messy data and information and understand how to translate it into easy-to-understand and pragmatic insights.
  • Verbal & Written Communication – You can clearly and concisely articulate and simplify complex ideas and recommendations across both verbal and written mediums.
  • Attention to Detail – You sweat the small details in your work and have a keen eye for driving consistency and excellence in your work and the work of those you lead.
  • Relationship Management – You understand how to quickly build rapport and relationships with those you work with. You understand the impact of transparency, consistency, and authenticity in how work is accomplished.
  • Business Development – You’ve had exposure to selling professional services and have ideas on how to contribute to the process of growing the practice.
  • Self-Starter – You don’t need or want constant supervision. You can work and lead teams independently to advance work towards team goals and timelines.
  • Learning & Development – You understand your own strengths and weaknesses in your skills and knowledge. You know when to seek knowledge, direction, guidance, and advice to help you advance you day-to-day work, professional development, and personal development.
  • Teamwork – You understand the dynamics of working with others and can operate effectively in a team setting. You thrive working together collaboratively and independently towards a common objective.
  • Microsoft Office Suite – You have an advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, with a specific emphasis on PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, and Teams.
